Prickly Feet

from $37.95
I was in Baja on a road trip and came across this female Caracara on a cactus, way up high. A common subject of folklore and legends throughout Central and South America, the Crested Caracara is sometimes called the "Mexican eagle." The Saguaro Cactus, on which it is perched, grows incredibly slowly, taking 50-100 years to grow its first arm. They may take 35 years to mature, and 200 years to reach full height (40–50+ feet). A 10-year-old saguaro might only be 1–2 inches tall.

Printed on classic matte photo paper with a smooth, non-glare surface.
